Kentucky Tracks Episode One Now Live

The first episode of Kentucky Tracks is now live!
This podcast, created by KFP, is dedicated as a companion to our on-going Kentucky Musical Legacy Project. Over the next few months, we will be releasing episodes to share the stories of local musicians and music fans in Bowling Green.

Our first episode is dedicated to record stores. We brought in two people who know the record store scene in Bowling Green probably better than anyone: Matt Pffefferkorn and Jeffrey Sweeney. Together these guys add up about 80 years of record store experience here in South Central Kentucky. I sat down with them in KFP’s oral history lab, housed in the Kentucky Museum, to get a historical overview of record stores and to discuss a the part they play in the scene.

Here is a photo of Matt and Jeff during their time working at Record Bar Tracks. Matt is front all the way to the left and Jeff is front second from the right.

Enjoy and look for another episode in the coming weeks.
