Our Graduate Assistant, Nicole Musgrave, made a short film for Dr. Ashley Stinnett’s Visual Anthropology course last semester. The film centers on Jasmine International Grocery Store in Bowling Green, KY, and looks how it provides access to products important to immigrants’ and refugees’ foodways traditions. The film also explores how the store serves as a community center and informal social service center for newcomers to the area.
