KFP Says Goodbye to Folklife Specialist Joel Chapman, Taking Applications to Fill Position

The Kentucky Folklife Program says goodbye to our Folklife Specialist, Joel Chapman. He has taken a position with Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation as the Folk and Traditional Arts Program Associate and we are incredibly excited for him! Joel worked as our Folklife Specialist since 2019. He has been instrumental in the creation of our Music Legacy Project and KFP’s involvement in the Jonesville Community Project. Joel has worked on many other projects through KFP, including Community Scholars and our regional workshops. He has been the point of contact for all community events and festivals that the Kentucky Folklife Program takes part in, including the Horse Cave Heritage Festival and Hammer In. We will miss Joel, but are happy to see him take on new adventures!

We are currently taking applications for a new Folklife Specialist. If you are interested, check out the link below for more information on the position and to apply.
